What Valparaiso usually books
Most rentals here land on one of three trailers. Pick the one that matches the load, not the one that looks biggest in the yard.
- 7x20 7K Car Hauler (Ole Faithful) for moving a vehicle, a side by side, or a load that is too big for a pickup bed. The pair of 7ft aluminum ramps is what makes low cars easy, and a wireless winch and straps come with it.
- 6x10 10k dump (Lil Dumpy) for yard cleanups and small renovation hauls around Florida Avenue and John Sims Parkway. The tarp is included, so you are not chasing debris down the road.
- 8.5x24 16K (Big Bertha) for contractors and for anyone hauling equipment for friends. It carries the most weight of anything we rent, and it comes with a wireless winch, straps, chains, and binders.
Moving something long, or more than one piece at a time, is a job for the 7x36 gooseneck (Goosey), as long as your truck has a gooseneck hitch in the bed.
PCS moves and short notice
PCS timelines do not care about business hours. That is exactly why we use a lockbox. Your code comes by text, so you are not waiting on a handoff to get hooked up and moving.
Running behind? Text us before your return time, not after. If the trailer is still open on the calendar, we can try to extend it for you.
What to have ready before you book
- A valid driver license.
- Proof of insurance.
- A tow vehicle rated for the trailer plus the load you are putting on it.
- The correct ball and a working round 7 pin plug.
A license and proof of insurance are required on every rental. Ball size is not the same across the fleet. The 7x20 car hauler uses a 2 inch ball, while the dump, equipment, and gooseneck trailers use a 2-5/16 inch ball. Check the ball size and light plug listed on that trailer's page before you drive over, because Highway 98 is not where you want to learn your hitch is a size off.
